Halloween Hayrides

HalloweenTake a spooky hayride from Red Top Mountain State Park in Cartersville, Georgia through the town of Ravenwood and listen as storytellers tell some ghost stories around a campfire. This event is suitable for all ages.

Dates for the hayride are October 14, 15, 21,22, 28, and 29, 2011. There will be hayrides running at 7 PM, 7:40 PM, 8:20 PM, and 9 PM. Admission is $8, 2 and younger are free. There is a $5 parking fee. Reservations are required. For more information and reservations, call 770-975-7533.

Concert Under the Stars

John Serrie, new age musician, will be performing a very unique Concert Under the Stars in the Planetarium at the Tellus Museum in Cartersville, Georgia on December 18, 2010. His show is both an audio and visual experience as he performs Christmas music from his album, “Upon a Midnight Clear”.

Two concerts will be performed on December 18, one at 7 PM and one at 8:30 PM. There will be a cash bar and an appetizer menu before each show. Tickets are $15 for members, $25 for non members. Call 770-606-5700 ext. 431 to purchase tickets.

Christmas BellsFeel like you are celebrating Christmas back in time when you visit the Vaughan homestead at Red Top Mountain State Park on December 4, 2010 from 10 AM to 4 PM. Witness the Christmas holidays of the 1800s being brought back to life with decorations, music, cooking, and toys from that era. Pumpkinfest

PumpkinsGet into the spirit of the fall season by visiting Pettit Creek Farms for Pumpkinfest on October 9 – 10, 2010 beginning at 10 AM. Wander through the pumpkin patch and pick out your favorite pumpkins to take home with you. Enjoy a hayride, petting the animals in the petting zoo or try to find your way through the corn maze.
